Mr. Smith, Partner & Managing Director, FSO Services North America, advises many financial institutions of all aspects for outsourcing and offshoring from strategy development through transaction execution to ongoing management. Since joining TPI, Brian has led the structuring and negotiation of information technology, Applications Development & Maintenance, human resources and banking business process outsourcing transactions, including the structuring of innovative solutions to address the challenges inherent in implementing offshoring in a highly regulated environment.
Prior to joining TPI, Brian spent 22 years in banking, covering roles such as mortgage and branch operations in the United Kingdom, private banking in Switzerland, and international operations and technology in New York. He was the Director of Global Technology at The Citigroup Private Bank, where he was responsible for the management of an organization based spanning the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, India, Singapore, Switzerland and the Bahamas. Before Citigroup, Brian was Executive Director, Operations and Technology with American Express Bank (AEB), based in New York. Brian also held various line management and project management positions with AEB, Europe and has extensive experience in business restructuring and mergers.
Brian holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland and is a member of the UK Institute of Administrative Management.
