TPI Launches Summer WebExchange Market Education Series
Three Complimentary Web-based Interactive Discussions Offer Insight on How to Maximize Efficiencies, Multiply ROI and Drive Down Costs
HOUSTON, June 19, 2006 — TPI Inc., the world’s leading advisor to global corporations on all facets of their service strategies for business support functions, today announced the kickoff of its 2006 Summer Market Education Series. The complimentary, web-based series provides critical information about aspects of business service delivery, including realistic cost-savings expectations through outsourcing, remote infrastructure management and the latest developments in IP telephony for hosted and managed services. Each WebExchange will offer essential facts, data and deep insight to help business leaders make better, more informed decisions related to their service delivery strategies.
“Organizational leaders want to know how to optimize their working capital and human assets to benefit return on investment and gain competitive advantage in deploying flexible, variable service delivery strategies,” said Mark Mayo, TPI partner and managing director for Global Advisory Services. “Our Summer WebExchange Series provides hands-on, practical insights into three focused topics, leveraging the deep experience of our advisors and sharing the unique knowledge we gain across the breadth of our client engagements.”
The series begins on Thursday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. EDT as Peter Allen and Chris Kalnik, two TPI partners, present “Setting Expectations for Cost Savings in Outsourcing.” During this WebExchange, attendees will learn how to calculate their probable net operating cost savings at the outset of a transaction and how to influence lasting results.
On Thursday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. EDT, Paul Schmidt and Mike Slavin, TPI partners leading the firm’s Global Service Delivery and Information Technology practices, present “Remote Infrastructure Management: Ensure Value, Reduce Risk.” During this session, attendees will: learn to consider the range of service provider “players” and how to determine which is best for their requirements; understand the need to pay close attention to risk mitigation in an offshore environment; and find out how to implement an “offshore-aware” sourcing management structure.
The final WebExchange in TPI’s Summer Series takes place on Thursday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. Hobart “Hobie” Harris, Ph.D., TPI CRM practice, will present “IP Telephony: Hosted & Managed Services Emerge as Practical Solutions.” This session will help attendees learn how large enterprises are leveraging new models including VoIP. Participants will obtain insight into the emerging telephony landscape and also gain a perspective of what options work best for certain organizations
Each 90-minute WebExchange includes an interactive presentation followed by a question and answer period. Participants who attend all three Summer Series 2006 TPI Market Education WebExchanges will receive a flash drive containing all of the Summer Series’ presentations plus supplementary research and data beyond the information covered in our WebExchanges.
