NEW YORK, Oct. 24, 2007 – TPI, the leading sourcing advisory firm, will present at the sixth annual OutsourceWorld New York show being held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from Oct. 24 – 25, 2007.
To enhance the dialogue among industry leaders and help companies determine the best global sourcing strategy for their specific needs, executives at TPI will deliver the following presentations:
- Different Strokes for Different Folks: Outsourcing vs. Captives: Paul Schmidt, partner and practice leader, Applications Development & Maintenance and Global Services Delivery Advisory Services, along with executives from United Airlines and CIT, will moderate a session addressing the corporate decision-making strategy of selecting an offshore captive versus a third-party outsourcer by reviewing the comparative risks, benefits and disadvantages of each scenario.
- Plenary Session: Building Extended Enterprises through Globalization of Services: Claude Marais, partner, TPI, will co-present with General Motors, to explore the evolution of global outsourcing strategies. Using TPI’s research and General Motors’ sourcing experience to illustrate the changes in the industry, large companies will understand how they can improve their strategies for continued success.
“As the industry evolves, so must companies’ global sourcing strategies,” said Paul Schmidt. “By examining the industry’s progression and analyzing the current sourcing options, we hope to provide attendees with the expertise needed to develop customized sourcing solutions that will enable them to become more profitable and gain a strategic advantage over the competition.”
