TPI Authors First HROA Industry Recommended Practices
Building on 18 months of collaboration with seven leading HR outsourcing industry service providers, TPI’s CHRO Services team has authored a pricing methodology and a robust set of service level agreements (SLAs) as the first step toward a common language for creating, measuring and maintaining HRO relationships.
TPI has donated the two industry standards documents to the Human Resources Outsourcing Association (HROA) — the leading independent industry voice of HR transformation and outsourcing — to help kick-start the HROA’s efforts to drive HR transformation through research and standards.
“TPI — and Debbie Card in particular — played a critical role in advancing the state and practice of HR transformation and outsourcing,” said Richard Crespin, Global Executive Director of the HROA. “The Association is particularly grateful for TPI’s help and altruistic approach in contributing this data for the good of the entire industry.”
The SLAs and pricing methodologies cover all commonly outsourced HR processes and are designed to educate potential buyers of HR outsourcing services by helping standardize and rationalize the requirements for HRO service providers. This common starting point for pricing and service levels will help improve the selection and contracting processes for HR outsourcing services.
Project Background and Next Steps
The HROA proposed the SLE and pricing methodology documents as HROA Recommended Practices™ and subjected them to a two-month public comment and peer review. Led by TPI Project Director Debbie Card, a subgroup of the HROA’s Research & Standards Committee that includes buyers and service providers is now evaluating and incorporating the public comments.
The final revised documents will be recommended for approval by HROA’s board of trustees. Once approved, they will become the HROA’s first published HROA Recommended Practices™ and will be available on the HROA’s Web site (www.hroassociation.org).
