TPI Enhances its Governance Services Offerings to Address Users’ Need to Obtain Greater Value from Outsourcing Relationships

New Agreement with Digital Fuel Adds Service Management Software to TPI’s Ongoing Outsourcing Management Solutions

TPI, the largest sourcing data and advisory firm in the world and a unit of Information Services Group Inc. (ISG) (NASDAQ:III), today announced the expansion of its Governance Services offerings to include solutions that provide clients with more in-depth and ongoing management and value creation for their outsourcing relationships. TPI also announced its arrangement with Digital Fuel, a leader in business service management software for processes such as service catalog, service level management and service financial management, to support TPI’s growing Governance Services capabilities.

In a 2007 TPI survey* of 40 companies across diverse industries, 61 percent of respondents agreed or strongly agreed with the statement “organizations place more em¬phasis on setting up the contract than managing it”; and 69 percent agreed or strongly agreed that organizations were “inexperienced in managing outsourcing contracts.”

“As companies enter into the third generation of outsourcing governance, they are looking at the performance of their outsourcing governance organizations critically and must hold them to the same level of scrutiny as any other part of their organization,” stated Scott Gildner, partner and president, North America, TPI.

TPI’s newly announced Governance Services offering helps companies achieve this objective. Adding to its core Governance advisory services – which cover the four disciplines of performance, financial, relationship and contact management – the expanded offering is a flexible and customizable combination of expertise, processes, work flow, technology and resource options. Examples of work performed for clients include service level management, service request management and reporting, invoice management, contract change management and issue dispute resolution.

“We have been performing this work for several clients for a number of years,” stated Claude Marais, partner and managing director, Governance Services, TPI. “The critical, growing need in the market spurred us to formally announce and offer enhanced versions of these services. By teaming with Digital Fuel, we’ll set the bar for Governance Services in the industry.”

Digital Fuel’s software will form a flexible platform to further integrate processes, workflow, service performance and governance process self-measurement, which serves to enhance process arbitrage. While many governance tools used in the industry collect data and help draw conclusions, Digital Fuel’s ServiceFlow software will allow TPI to provide practical solutions with added value to its clients. When considering software tools to support its Governance Services, TPI assessed all the options against more than 100 practical criteria and selected Digital Fuel because it brought the best overall solution to meet all of TPI’s needs.

“We are pleased to be able to provide our industry-leading business service management software solution as the technology foundation of TPI’s Governance Services,” stated Yisrael Dancziger, president and CEO, Digital Fuel. “The combination of TPI’s expertise, resources and processes with our business service management software, will provide corporations with a competitive advantage through the achievement of the anticipated value of their sourcing relationships.”
