TPI Executives to Showcase Best Practices for Strategic Sourcing Relationships at The International Association for Contract and Commercial Management Americas 2008 Conference

  • TPI’s Scott Gildner to serve as keynote speaker and Claude Marais to present on Mitigating Risks Through Effective Partnerships

7 April 2008 ― TPI, the largest sourcing data and advisory firm in the world and a unit of Information Services Group, Inc. (ISG) (NASDAQ:III), a leader in the information-based services industry, will present at the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) Americas 2008 conference, held at the Radisson Fort McDowell in Scottsdale, Arizona from April 7 – April 9. The conference, with the theme “Collaborate to Innovate,” will focus on the role commercial leadership and innovation play in helping businesses create a competitive advantage in today's economy. The conference will also discuss how improving relationships across the board can facilitate the achievement of key corporate goals. Top executives at TPI will share their knowledge and expertise on establishing important relationships in the sourcing industry.

The theme “Collaborate to Innovate” will be interwoven throughout the following TPI presentations:

  • Keynote Speaker: Today’s Third Party Advisor – How our Role is Changing: Scott Gildner, partner and president, TPI North America, will present on the evolving role of third party advisors explaining how they have moved away from being “deal makers” to consultants. This shift has enabled the creation of more flexible and valuable relationships between clients and service providers that allow for true collaboration and innovation in the service delivery. Gildner will present data to support how service providers are creating more flexible relationships with their clients by changing their preferred delivery and relationship models, and how this flexibility is being rewarded in the marketplace.
  • Featured Presenter: Creating Effective Partnerships to Mitigate Risks: Claude Marais, partner and managing director, Governance Services, will speak on a panel addressing how effective partnerships will take strategic sourcing to the next level. The panel will focus on how technology can facilitate or prohibit effective connections, how and why today’s metrics do not always support effective collaboration, and the innovation opportunities created by mutually-beneficial relationships.

“TPI is excited to participate with some of the world’s top industry leaders to discuss the important role that business relationships play in facilitating corporate innovation,” said Scott Gildner, partner and president, TPI North America. “This year’s theme supports TPI’s goal to help facilitate more collaboration between clients and providers, which aims to assure the success of the relationship as opposed to just the contract.”

The IACCM is well known throughout the international community as “The Global Authority on Commitment Management” and comprises senior contracts, sourcing, legal and commercial management executives and managers. This year’s theme, centered on collaboration, comes at a critical time when many businesses are struggling with their sourcing transactions and enhances the view that relationships are the true building blocks for a successful and innovative business.
