TPI’S Semiannual Global Sourcing Leadership Exchange Breaks Attendance Record
- 157 executives from nearly 80 organizations share critical sourcing industry insights through workshops and networking
HOUSTON, May 6, 2008 – TPI, the largest sourcing data and advisory firm in the world and a unit of Information Services Group Inc. (ISG) (NASDAQ:III), hosted its semi-annual Sourcing Leadership Exchange (SLE) conference for the 10th consecutive year at the Drake Hotel in Chicago from April 30 – May 2. The event titled Sorting Through a Crowded Sourcing Universe: Essential Insight for Action saw an increase of nearly 15 percent in both number of executives and the number of organizations attending over the last SLE conference in November of 2007.
“Despite some of the popular conjecture about a slowdown in the adoption of outsourcing, this was our largest SLE ever, and the attendees generally expressed a desire to become ever more active in using outsourcing to achieve greater variability in their corporate cost profiles,” said Peter Allen, partner and managing director, TPI.
Providing a collaborative learning environment that facilitates networking and sharing, the SLE takes a deep dive into best practices among sourcing executives. Throughout the conference, TPI executives led the attendees through nearly 30 general sessions, break-outs and workshops on critical industry topics such as IT infrastructure, restructuring of sourcing relationships, HRO outsourcing and second and third generation contracts.
TPI's SLE conferences are exclusively for corporate executives who use sourcing as a significant part of their business strategy. Membership to the conferences is by invitation only. This provides a confidential environment and ensures attendees feel comfortable sharing ideas and information about their sourcing relationships.
