TPI Helps E.ON Achieve Greater Efficiency, Agility, Global Competitiveness

  • Energy giant engages world’s leading sourcing advisor to design multi-billion IT services transformation

LONDON, February 9, 2011 ― TPI, the largest sourcing data and advisory firm in the world and a unit of Information Services Group, Inc. (ISG) (NASDAQ:III), an industry-leading information-based services company, announced today it advised E.ON, one of the world's largest investor-owned utility companies, on the outsourcing of its IT services as part of a group-wide performance enhancement program that will increase E.ON’s efficiency and competitiveness globally.

E.ON, which has more than 88,000 employees and operates in more than 30 countries, engaged TPI to help it achieve greater efficiency, flexibility and innovation in its use of technology. The initiative is designed to give E.ON the agility to quickly respond to fundamental changes in the energy industry and enter into new markets around the world.

The term of the outsourcing contract will be a maximum of seven years, however at least a minimum of five years. E.ON will partner with HP to oversee Data Centers and End User Computing and with T-Systems to manage Networking and Telecommunications. TPI supported EON throughout the planning of the outsourcing process as well as of, the transfer of about 1,400 employees across Europe to both partners. TPI will continue to support EON through the outsourcing transition and transformation phase during 2011.

“This initiative should be a model for all energy and utility companies that wish to become stronger global competitors in a dynamic and ever-changing industry,” said Michael P. Connors, Chairman & CEO, ISG and TPI. “We are excited to help E.ON improve its delivery of IT services and overall operational efficiency. And with last month’s ISG acquisition of Compass – the premier independent global provider of business and IT benchmarking, performance improvement, data and analytics services – we will be able to provide E.ON and other clients in this important sector an even broader range of information and expertise, both in Europe and around the world.”
